Hi there! Chancer Reese here. I’m a “blog mechanic” by day, and an aspiring metal artist by night, and this is my website.

I Use Square Cut Nails, Copper & Other Scraps to Create My Designs

The old-style square cut nails that I use are made in the USA from solid steel and I feel are the perfect material to make lasting works of art. For me, using these items to make art that you can enjoy for years is very rewarding. Cut nails have a history; they performed a critical function in a world before computers and power tools. They were often the only way that many homes, buildings and structures were connected. So each style of nail was made for a unique purpose and was crafted with pride. With our world becoming such a disposable society; repurposing these nails and recycling copper into functional art, I feel is a beautiful thing!
